We have not been here in a while because the last 2 time we went it was completely awful, food and service. There was a new cook training and she is awesome! Hash browns were perfect! Burger was great! Everyone else in my party said their food was good too. The waitress was pretty good, disappeared a couple of times but that standard at waffle house!

We arrived to the restaurant, and could barely walk on the floor it was so sticky. Then, once we were seated, we watched at least 15 flies land on and around the tables. Our waitress was sweet, but the food was not good at all. The waffles were not completely cooked through, on the bacon egg & cheese sandwich, the eggs were half raw. We watched a rag fall into the trash can and then be put back up into a container of water, used to wash the tables. Disgusting!!! We also watched the cooks sip on McDonald’s frappes and eat sausage biscuits while they were making other people’s food. Then, they began yelling at one another with the food in their mouths. Once we got up to pay, the woman at the register was extremely rude. At the register, the man grilling the bacon didn’t have gloves on and he just laid the bacon on top of the counter, nothing underneath. I don’t recommend this Waffle House, absolutely disgusting.

The Waffle House of Harrisonburg Va is located off Rt 33 East .. YES you can see it from Rt 33. Its a Clean and Respectful Restaurant where All the Locals and Travelers eat their Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. All their Food is So Good From their Sandwiches to "the All Star Breakfast which includes a warm waffle" ... you must stop by and tell them Hello!!

On an epicurean scale can't go higher than 3 stars. However, it is a unique culture and a fun stop at least once on every road trip. Food is steady and reliable. Service always friendly. Love the hash browns with 1/2 dozen choices of toppings if desired. And where else can you get a 1/4" thick waffle and not mind - it's what it is. Next trip, another Waffle House somewhere.

SO MANY FLIES!!! Ten or more near my seat alone. Me and my girlfriend both got sick from their food. The cook was eating McDonald’s and using his same hands to cook the eggs. Cocoa was very rude and eating McDonalds as she was taking orders, serving food, etc. Worst food experience I’ve ever had definitely will not go back and highly recommend no one else will either.
